PILLAR I
As an organization, we do not believe in "the starving artist" mentality. The vast majority of creatives have been working on their craft since childhood, yet are struggling to make ends meet in an entertainment driven world. Our goal is to empower and educate creatives to monetize their skillset and take ownership of their own worth. SOA hosts shows, conferences, and more to achieve this objective. Musicians do NOT pay to perform at SOA; they retain a percentage of their ticket sale contributions to the event they are performing in.
PILLAR II
As a small, black-owned business ourselves, we want to open our space to other small businesses and extend an opportunity for them to connect with the crowd our events garner. We strive to ensure all businesses that partner with us leave with value. Having an in person presence adds an anecdotal and more connecting feel to the guests. We also have sponsorship opportunities and curate each package to the liking and desires of the partner. These interactions lead to new customers and engagement, insightful conversations, and increased sales.
PILLAR III
Excellence is our standard that we are consistently striving to achieve/maintain. Our goal is to be the premiere, live music show for underground artists. We want to curate a memorable experience for our guests, talent, and partners that we share the space with. As we are growing, we are working to ensure smoothly ran shows and events that leave you with your expectations met as well as with one or two wonderful surprises. Moreover, our team strategically arranges seating, lighting, vendor placement to maximize our operating spaces.
